Weeks 15 & 16 Kath's Ramblings

  Good afternoon, Rotarians and Friends This will be a bumper blog as I’ve not had chance to write one for the last two weeks with being so busy. Well first, the weather has certainly changed and I’m back to the winter clothing, but I suppose that’s to be expected as we are in the middle of October! And now less than 10 weeks to Christmas! I’ve had a great couple of weeks and met some wonderful people.   Going around the District has certainly opened my eyes to the amount of really good work District 1190 does. We are a very active District with some amazing projects, lets continue to shout out about the work we are doing. It would be great to see all the work going onto all our social media platforms. On Thursday 6 th October I attend a couple of events; at lunch I visited Accrington Stanley Football ground, the meeting place of Accrington Rotary Club.   Another busy Rotary week last week with lots of different activities coupled with a hard week at work. My Rotary week started with an excellent visit to Ribblesdale Rotary Club, a lovely drive across to the Calf’s Head public House, their regular meeting place.  I received a warm welcome from President Richard and all the Rotarians. The Members talked about many of their activates. We had a lovely meal and a good talk with plenty of questions. I hope to visit this Club again during my year and have offered to assist with any polio activities they undertake. My sincere thanks go to President Richard and all the Club Members for their invite and hospitality and in particular to Linda Bindless the Club Secretary. It was lovely to meet you all. On Thursday I attended   the online Membership Seminar which really gave food for thought.
